DESCRIPTION:PICKLEBALL\nPickleball is a racket sport played with paddles and a whiffle ball (similar to tennis or\nbadminton) and is played indoors on a badminton court. Come join the fun and be part of\nthe fastest growing sport in North America. This is a drop in session for players who are\nnew to the game or working on developing basic skills and/or just wanting to play for fun!\nVolunteers will be available for instruction in the fundamentals of Pickleball including\ngame rules and etiquette\, how to keep score as well as specific skills such as serves\, ball\ncontrol\, ground strokes\, forehand\, backhand and “dinking”. A limited number of paddles\nare available\, but regulars are encouraged to purchase their own paddle. Wear indoor\,\nathletic footwear and bring water and a paddle if you have one.\nWednesdays September 13 to December 13 6 – 7:15pm $2 drop in fee\nSundays September 10 to December 10 6:30 – 8:30pm $4 drop in fee\n(no pickleball October 8)

DESCRIPTION:Logging Demonstration \nJanuary 20 & 21\n\n\nThis weekend our interpreters will be demonstrating traditional logging. Come watch as they cut down a tree using an axe and crosscut saw\, junk it up and yard it to the brow which was traditionally done using a team of horses or oxen.\n\n\nTentative times for yarding:\n10:30am- 11:00am\n3:00pm- 3:30pm\n\n\nStop and visit the intrepreters in Rosebank Cottage\, where you will get to learn how to cook a traditional logging camp meal of baked beans and brown bread. While you’re inside\, warm up and take the time to indulge your taste buds with a delicious sample.

We will be rug hooking with the flowing tendrils of sheep fleece for the\npictorial of this beautiful Ross Farm. What will we learn? We will discuss\, the\nhistory of rug hooking\, equipment required\, types of backings\, discuss the various\nforms of wool\, patterns\, and how to hook many beautiful pictures.
