DESCRIPTION:This month at Baby Group we are talking about feeding older babies\, with a focus on baby-led weaning and Canada’s Food guide! \nKatie Cox\, our Dietetic Intern\, will be answering your questions on baby-led weaning for 6 mth olds such as “What is it? Is it safe? How can I do it at home?” and more! \nThis event will happen on Thurs June 13th from 10:30-11:30am.  A handout will be given for families to take home and finger foods will be offered for both parents and babies to try! This is a free event that runs with Playgroup\, so care for older kids is available. \nIf you want to attend\, please register by calling Katie at 902-689-2414 or email katherine.cox@msvu.ca by June 10th.  Hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:The Village Blacksmith
DESCRIPTION:In the spring of 1817 Daniel McKay\, became the first blacksmith in Sherbrooke (New Ross).  The blacksmith shop\, with its collection of tools played an important role in this settlement.  This weekend come to Ross Farm Museum and learn why the balcksmith was such an important part of the community and why they remained so well into the 20th century.
