DESCRIPTION:Come one\, come all and celebrate Canada Day with us at the New Ross Fair Grounds.  \nThe afternoon will start off with a Canada Day theme parade with children’s\, teens and adult categories at 1:30pm \nThe Opening Ceremony will begin at 2:00pm with opening remarks and judging of the Parade contestants.  The fun continues with children’s games\, prizes\, face painting\, pony rides and a petting zoo.  For the adults we will  have a beer & wine garden and an array of Bands from 2:30-10:00pm then ending the day’s events with amazing FX fireworks at 10:15pm \nWant something to eat\, we got you covered; you will have the choice of a chicken BBQ\, French Fries or hot cheese poutine\, Hot dogs & hamburgers.  While enjoying the bands\, take time to visit the onsite Farmers Market and Flea Market or play a few games of BINGO in the recreation Hall at the Fair Grounds.

DESCRIPTION:Making hats by braiding natural fibres is considered an art by some\, but at one time\, it was simply a fact of life.  During the late 18th to early 19th centuries\, the wearing of straw hats by farmers and laborers was quite common in both North America and Europe\, since the materials were inexpensive and readily available.
