DESCRIPTION:Part of New Ross’ history is cutting\, tying\, and dragging of Christmas trees by hand. This competition involves cutting 2 trees with a bow saw\, dragging and tying by hand. Everything is supplied except a knife. \nSaturday\, August 6th\, 2016 starting at 5pm at the New Ross Fair Grounds. \nAny questions call\, Jeff Reeves at 902-275-8136. \nSTARTING June 8th\, taking first 10 people who want to compete. \nPrize money: 1st place is $100\, 2nd place is $60\, 3rd place is $40. \nCompetition is in memory of Donnie Seffern and Maurice Russell

You must be 16 of age or older to compete. \nSaturday\, August 6\, 2016 starting at 9am. \nEvents are: 1) modified crosscut\, 2) old fashion crosscut\, 3) swede saw\, 4) run\, cut\, split\, 5) axe throw\, 6) dry land roll\, 7) modified chain saw\, 8) obstacle pole\, 9) single buck\, 10) water boil \nThere will be an old fashioned crosscut saw competition for the general public. Saws will be provided\, so pick a good partner and try your luck.
