Workshop: Vital Signs – Recognizing and Assisting Seniors at Risk for or Experiencing Abuse

This workshop was developed to provide a resource to help:

1.Better Understand elder abuse.

2. Use effective communication strategies to discuss elder abuse.

3. Be aware of and understand legislation that pertains to abuse.

4. Identify community resources that may assist seniors and/or provide more information.

The emphasis throughout the workshop is on enabling participants to make decisions and develop strategies that will allow the senior to make informed decisions and maintain control over his or her own life.
