New Ross farmers' Association Meeting will be at the fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 5th, at 8pm. All interested persons are urged to attend. We will be discussing plans for this year's fair and other related business. Contact Debbie at 902-689-2737 for more information.

Making hats by braiding natural fibers is considered an art by some, but at one time, it was simply a fact of life. When laborers were out all day under the hot sun, protection was a necessity. This weekend staff will be demonstrating the tradition art of Straw hat braiding.
