In earlier years usually in November, families prepared for winter by putting up barrels of sauerkraut. This is a process in which cabbage is shredded, salted, and stomped in a barrel and then allowed to ferment for 4 to 6 weeks.

Empower (Ladies Support Group). Resume in October, every other Wednesday, starting October 12 and 26. Come share your journey, feel supported, have access to resources, make connections and gain friendship. A warm beverage will be provided.
Wild Flower Arrangement Workshop with Susan Larder. Free, Oct. 26 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. All ages workshop (under 16, must be accompanied by an adult). Each workshop will include education, wild flowers assortment, and a vase.
