Tree lighting and Fireworks!

Even though the New Ross Christmas Festival was cancelled this year, there was still Christmas celebrations to be had! Friday evening, Santa made his annual visit for the lighting the Christmas Tree at the Crossroads Gazebo. The Legion also prepared a terrific Bean Supper for take-out, and hosted a magnificent fireworks display. Throughout the weekend the U-Pick Christmas Tree Lots remained opened and a successful Stuff a Bag Challenge in support of Feed Nova Scotia was held at the Fairgrounds.  Also, our Silent Auction items were bid on throughout the week and picked up Saturday morning.  Thank you to all who donated and bid on items to make this years Virtual Silent Auction a success.

We’re hopeful to be back next year with some of our beloved traditions, so stay tuned for next years event!

For those who were unable to attend the the fireworks (put on by Jeff Harvey and his team from the New Ross Royal Canadian Legion – Branch # 79), or Christmas tree lighting, please check out the links below.
