Wonders of Maple Syrup

The Ross Farm Museum doesn't tap a lot of trees, but they sure have fun with maple syrup!  Sample maple syrup and pancakes at Rosebank cottage, learn about the process of tapping trees, collecting sap and boiling sap down over an outdoor fire.  Enjoy a sweet day at the museum!

Baked Beans and Brown Bread Supper Fundraiser

The New Ross Refugee Welcome Group are hosting a baked bean, home made brown bread, and home made apple pie supper in the Hearth Room at Ross Farm. Eat in or take out. $10.00 per person. On Saturday March 12th, 4-6pm.

Wood Chip Hats at Ross Farm

Making hats by braiding natural fibers is considered an art by some, but at one time, it was simply a fact of life. This weekend staff will demonstrate hat-making using strips of wood known as "sheens" stripped from freshly gathered yellow-birch logs.
