Are you interested in our food system in New Ross? In working towards New Ross being a place where everyone can get all the healthy foods they need? If yes, then we invite you to join us to discuss forming a group to work towards this.
We will be demonstrating sheep shearing, spinning & dying wool. Learn about the importance of sheep to early settlers and about the work involved to produce yarn and how woolen yarn was used to make material for the clothing necessary for cold winter days.
Open invitation to the public to drop in and see our new community room. The room is upstairs, and has access on the East side of the building. All are invited to attend!
There will be a Dance featuring a variety of country rock and 50s and 60s tunes at the Forties Community Centre from 9pm - 12:30am on Saturday May 23rd. Tickets are $7.00/person. Door prizes, 50/50 and canteen will be available.
This clinic is designed to help you with minor illnesses (such as colds, flu, injuries, cuts, sore throats, bladder infections for example), prescription refills, blood pressure checkups, etc. The clinic is open to everyone; please bring your health card. Please arrive 15 minutes before the clinic closes for the day.
What better way to celebrate the start of summer than to join the annual pumpkin planting days at Ross Farm Museum. Bring the children and let them plant a pumpkin seed, then they can return in the fall and harvest their pumpkin.
