Drop by Rural Roots Market this Sunday, Oct 1 from 10 am - 2 pm for our Closing Day Celebration! The coffee will be on, the lemon ricotta cake will be cut (both are complimentary, while supply lasts). We're at the entrance to Ross Farm Museum, New Ross, NS.
Join us for a stroll through the trails of the Lion's Park and Ross Farm as we explore our surroundings and learn a few tidbits as we go. Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, Home Baked Goodies, Eggs, Spices, Red Barn Wines, Bulwark Cider, Pickles, Kimchi Sauerkraut, Wine Jelly, Jam, Jellies, Soaps, Crafts, Meats, Coffee & Tea, Live Entertainment and more!
Members of the NS Basketry guild will be demonstrating harvest basket making from 10-4:00 at the Ross Farm Museum.
Join in the Thanksgiving Day Harvest Sale, at the Forties Community Centre. Vendors with home made jams, jellies, pickles & preserves, apples & fresh vegetables. With local Entertainment Time: 9am-4pm
Bring the family to New Ross Farm for some good old fashion fun! Enjoy demonstrations of open-hearth cooking, coopering, and sauerkraut making. Take part in a fun auction for everyone in the afternoon at 2:00pm.
Enjoy home cooking at its best! The Forties Community Centre are serving delicious, traditional Turkey-dinner with all the trimmings, dessert and tea & coffee. Time: 11:30am-1:30pm, 2:30pm-4:30pm Adult-$13.00, Children-5-12yrs=$7.00, under 5=$3
In support of St. Augustine Church Guild and Forties Baptist Church, come to our ticket auction at the Forties Community Centre. Doors open at 12 noon, Auction starts at 2pm. If you have anything you would like to donate, please contact Peggy Hamlin at 902-689-2577 or drop off at the Centre on Friday, October 13th.
Come to the Ross Farm and witness a traditional demonstration in Lunenburg County Pudding & Sausage Making. Meat will be made into these traditional dishes. Come and see how these delicacies are prepared.
