Ross Farm Museum

Come out for March Break on the Farm. Each day will have a theme relating to the farm. As always there will be lots of hands on activities for everyone to enjoy and crafts that everyone can participate in throughout the day. Hot chocolate will be served. Weather permitting, there will be horse drawn rides.

See how our ancestors would have prepared food for the family and savor the aroma of food cooking on the open hearth. Sample some of these dishes.

In the early 1800's the only source of light would have been by candle. Many families would have had to make their own candles or else go with no light at all.  Come join the staff at the Ross Farm Museum in making dipped candles just like the settlers would have done years ago.

This weekend the interpreters at Ross Farm Museum will be demonstrating the traditional art of snowshoe making. They will have snowshoes available for you to experience snowshoeing first hand.

This weekend our interpreters will be demonstrating how to make a wooden toboggan.
