The monthly Hook-In is starting back on Sunday September 18th in the Hearth room at Ross Farm Museum from 1– 4 pm. There will be tea and coffee available in the giftshop. The fee is $3.00.

Join us on the farm for a look into the past, and the skills that would have been required to not only survive but keep you and your family entertained. Enjoy demonstrations and hands-on experiences with this weekend of past-time fun!

In earlier years usually in November, families prepared for winter by putting up barrels of sauerkraut.  This is a process in which cabbage is shredded, salted, and stomped in a barrel and then allowed to ferment for 4 to 6 weeks.

Family Participation Days Sat., & Sun. 3rd & 4th Today is your chance to step back in time and do some everyday hands-on activities. Different activities will be scheduled each day such as wood punching, quill pen writing, taffy pull, candle dipping, cow milking, and blacksmithing.
